In the Community

“We cannot seek achievement for ourselves and forget about progress and prosperity for our community… Our ambitions must be broad enough to include the aspirations and needs of others, for their sakes and for our own.”

-Cesar Chavez, Activist and Founder of the National Farm Workers Association

I’ve always been raised with a deep sense of community responsibility.  Very involved in community activism as an avid supporter of cross-cultural understanding, at the age of 16, I traveled to the country of Brazil through a program called Amigos de las Americas. Through this program, I worked nine weeks with community leaders focusing on development and education.  I often say, “Brazil was a chance to see the real world outside of American walls.” I have since traveled multiple times to Guatemala for similar endeavors through Global Visionaries. With a penchant for adventure, I have since moved to New York City where I’ve developed my curiosity for business development, Marketing, and Social Media, but I have never forgotten my true love for helping those in need.  I have always wanted to help the masses.  Through my involvement with many organizations, I am bringing awareness to programs that are worth taking a second to support.   I hope to inspire others in finding a program to endorse for together we can bring awareness and fight for quality education and cross-cultural understanding.
