Apt 78…Everyones Apt

Posted on June 14, 2011

Apt. 78 Café/ Lounge located at 4447 Broadway (between 190th St & 189th St) is an upscale lounge with a full service bar and art deco décor. The ambiance is like you’ve just walked into your apartment, except you’re not alone.  It’s laid back, you can bring your laptop, and what better than getting work done with tasty drinks, music to groove to, and a place to chill (outside la casa).  Playing a robust genre of music, there’s bound to be a song or two you recognize, and if you don’t, you can always engage in coversation with the many Friendly’s you find at the bar or on the couch.  There is ample seating  and really nice furniture throughout the lounge, all pretty comfortable to say the least. For a one room locale, it’s awefully cute.  The bartenders and waitresses are very courteous.  Apt. 78 offers a great variety of appetizers and light entrees, mostly paninis, all at a reasonable price.

Now, lets discuss the goodies: the drinks!  The drinks are delicious and are not at all expensive. Both Emi and I had the margarita (my favorite) and Mojito, which cost $7 (during happy hour and $9 after). Recently, Apt. 78 has become our “meeting ground” to discuss business, upcoming events and everything in between. If you’re looking for a local place (in the Heights) with great staff and good drinks, Apt. 78 is it- great drinks, great wine, great atmosphere. We might make Apt.78 our Starbucks replacement… but I’ll have to try their coffee first, maybe next week 😉
